Tournesol de Bradford
This is my version of Van Gogh’s sunflowers! These sunflowers were grown in my back garden during 2011, which was a reasonable year for growing flowers, and hence I felt justified at calling it Tournesol de Bradford!
Multiple sunflower A3 prints, the flowers and vases were painted with UV paints, and arranged to show the variable visual effects, which can be obtained by illumination with UV lights and dimmable tungsten lighting used for the collage pictures. The picture is the same size as the stamp collages, (1.22m x 1.625m). The UV-painted vases have an apparent 3-D effect when viewed totally under UV conditions.
